Three day interdisciplinary webinar on research methodology for biomedical research

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions, the Workshop was conducted as a Webinar via CiscoWebex platform. The resource persons were Dr Chandra sekharJanakiram, Professor and HOD, Department of public health dentistry, Amrita School Of Dentistry and Dr Biju George , associate professor deparment of community medicine , calicut medical college .Both of them are well known legends in biostatics and research.sessions were also taken by eminent resource personalities from kmct institutions. The webinar mainly aimed at building capacity among researchers regarding scientific ways of formulating research questions, adopting proper study designs, sampling tools and learning about data management in broader perspective. It also focused on research preparation abiding to the rules and regulations of ICMR, WHO. It also provided an overview and introduction to the basics of softwares used in research like SPSS, Excel etc. It was a 3 day comprehensive workshop conducted by Dept of Public Health dentistry in conjunction with Dept of Community Medicine, KMCT Medical College. There were also various exercises and hands own on Thesis Protocol preparation, presentation and corrections as per the guidelines of the University. All the 97 participants (48 medical PG trainees, 23 dental PG trainees and 26 Pharm.D students) were present on all the 3 days. .
